Cost Accountant (temp-perm)
Position: Cost Accountant (temp-perm)
Location: San Jose, California

Responsibilities:

Perform cost accounting monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes including doing adjustment entries, gross margin and standard margin analysis, service and spare profitability analysis, multiple cost schedules, and SEC reporting related to cost accounting items;
Perform ongoing standard costing review and update, manufacturing work order variance analysis, and project management;
Perform LCM and E&O inventor reserve analysis;
Perform standard cost revision on material, labor, overhead, and services.

Education/Experience:

5+ years of related cost accounting experience preferably in a capital equipment/semiconductor industry and public companies.

Responsibilities:

Administration of systems in an enterprise environment
Microsoft Windows server O/S versions
Designing, implementing and maintaining system and network securities, firewall, intrusion detection and DDOS.

Equipment Engineer
Position: Equipment Engineer
Location: Singapore

Responsibilities:

Perform tool integration, setup and final testing for lithography platform tools in the Singapore facility.
Perform system installation at customer site after completion of Manufacturing and system testing and will be responsible for customer final acceptance.
Work with the Service organization as necessary to troubleshoot, repair and maintain lithography tools at customer locations throughout Asia.

Education/Experience:

Degree in EE or Mechanical Engineering or Science.
3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in the semiconductor industry.
Able to travel 80%.

Field Service Engineers (Korea)
Position: Field Service Engineers (Korea)
Location: Korea

Field Service Engineers travel to customer locations or are assigned to an individual customer site. They are responsible for on-site installations; startup, diagnosis, service and repair of Ultratech photolithography and/or laser anneal equipment. They function as Ultratech liaison with customers on administrative, technical, operational, and maintenance issues. This position will require a short work in12x7 pattern and will focus on photolithography tools but could evolve into a broader role to support other customer sites and tools. The work week schedule will vary with customer requests and Ultratech’s business requirements.

Must be able to interface with multiple departments to ensure consistent and effective communication.
Must be able to build and maintain relationships with customer, vendors, and department contacts
Possess excellent time management skills
Knowledge of travel administration, expense reporting policy and procedures.
Process excellent semi-conductor capital equipment trouble shooting skills

Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of complex electronic and mechanical equipment.
Continuously instructs customers in the proper operation and maintenance of the system.
Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
Install upgrades and retrofits as they may become available
Provide constructive feedback to, and interface with, technical support, design engineering, manufacturing, reliability group, as well as other internal Ultratech departments.
Able to read and work from engineering drawings, schematics, procedures, and technical manuals.

Optical Engineer
Position: Optical Engineer
Location: San Jose, Ca

Responsibilities:

Create optical designs for new product development of lithography and laser annealing tools
Create design concepts in support of advanced R&D investigations
Provide tolerance analysis for optical designs
Work on projects from the concept development stage through delivery to manufacturing
Develop test and verification procedures; take part in testing and experimentation
Assist manufacturing during the manufacture of prototype assemblies, and develop manufacturing processes and work instructions
Support operations to resolve supplier and production problems

Experience/Education Required:

Ph.D. in Optical Engineering or related field. Will consider M.S. for exceptional candidate.
Five (5)+ years in industry experience
Experience developing optical systems for lithography, high power laser based systems, infrared systems, and/or imaging systems
Proficient in CODE V, ZEMAX, ASAP; working knowledge of MATLAB or MATHCAD desirable

Quality & Support Engineer
Position: Quality & Support Engineer
Location: Singapore

Key job duties/responsibilities:

Responsible for Quality System Maintenance.
Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
Assist Quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system.
Provide technical feedback to engineering concerning product changes and enhancements, design, reliability, maintenance problems or bugs.
Develop training to build quality awareness.
Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
Track and analyze supplier OEM calls, authorizing Field Service use of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) resources.
Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
Support manufacturing activities providing manufacturing escalation support.
Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.

Experience/education required:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, or equivalent related experience. Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a customer/supplier facing service, technical support, or engineering position in semiconductor capital equipment industry.
Strong project management skills and ability to work well independently or as a part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication and personal interface skills needed. Must be fluent in reading and writing in English, Mandarin Chinese desired. A strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and optical systems; HVAC and cooling/chiller technology experience is desired.

Software Engineer
Position: Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test and integrate software for lithographic and laser annealing tools in the semiconductor fabrication industry. Specific duties include: design, developing and testing equipment control software, process control software, calibration test programs, installation programs and scripts, and factory automation modules; leading efforts to advance equipment data acquisition projects; resolving assigned software defects; responding to and resolving assigned field support issues; and resolving computer and product configuration issues.

Technology Transfer Manager (TTM)
Position: Technology Transfer Manager (TTM)

Responsibilities:

Provide both on-site and remote applications support to customers.
Demonstrate machines to customers and provide customer training to ensure equipment is used effectively.
Assist customer to solve problems related to application of the product to customer’s manufacturing process.
Evaluate engineering upgrades and other product proposals submitted by development Engineering to determine practicality and usefulness of the application by customers.
Assist Sales Staff is assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications.
Provides list of self generated application projects centering on process improvement.
Represent the customer’s interest at technical meeting within the company.
Establish specification on equipment to be used by the customers.
Up to 75% travel is required including extended stay at customer locations.
Up to 4-6 months of initial training may be required.
